This is one of the biggest questions I'm asked! Almost every weekend (sometimes during the week if we are up for it) we have some type of free on near free activity we do as a family. I actually get allot of my insight from a local website About.com Phoenix. Judy Hedding has a great article she updates weekly "Best Free Things To Do and See in Greater Phoenix". I schedule in my calendar once a month to go on her website and find fun family activities we can do for the upcoming weeks.

Now I know some of you may be saying to yourself "that's great for those that live in Arizona but what about me?" Don't worry I got you covered! Just type in "free activities to do in ... (you fill in the blank). When we have an upcoming trip out of town I always do this search and come up with some really great things to have fun. Word of caution however the most important thing to remember is to schedule some time aside to look for stuff to do. I usually spend about an hour, but it makes it so worth it with the memories I build with my family.
